Discovery Flight

Everyone is going to have their own unique experience but, at some point there is the first flight which is often referred to as a “Discovery Flight”. It counts as your first flight time that you may log and is meant to let you get a glimpse into what flying and flight training is all about. It’s also a great opportunity to see how your body and mind react to the excitement and sensations of flight.

Many local airports offer them and are just a quick Google search away from finding them. Most likely, at the end of your discovery flight you will be offered a package to take more flight lessons and start your way to earning your private pilot certificate. This is also your opportunity to asses the facilities and aircraft that a flight school offers and make a decision if you want to continue with them or find a more fitting school.
